Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China. It is also
the political, cultural, educational and scientific center of China.
With a population of over 10 million people, a further one million
foreign visitors come to Beijing every year to see such historical
sites as the Great Wall of China, Tian'anmen Square, the Summer Palace,
the Imperial Palace and the Temple of Heaven.
